Welcome to
Student Counseling Services!

Our vision is a university where all students are empowered to reach their personal, academic, and career goals.

We promote student success by helping you with:

  • Mental health and life concerns
  • Learning and academic skills challenges
  • Career uncertainty
  • Faculty/staff - student communication

As a staff we are committed to valuing diversity, honoring students, faculty, and staff from all racial, religious, and ethnic identities, sexualities, gender identities, and disability conditions.

We, the SCS staff, write to express our solidarity with all of those who are hurt, angry, in pain, and moved to protest the brutal and senseless murder of George Floyd. He should still be alive today, as well as the many BIPOC folx who have suffered from systemic violence. We condemn the persistent and often-times deadly violence against Black and Brown folx. We are strongly committed to actively addressing systemic racism and white supremacist beliefs and power structures both within and outside the University of Minnesota. Please know that we are with you and we are here to support you. To read more click here.
